Novel [poem]

I could write a novel about your family

The wife and urban property, her muff

The mother actual and collected

No one is surprised when he, slick

Ruins the whole play, strut up

Browned, I’d pillory the self-indulgence

The characters ask for promotions

“Someone to watch over me, please”

I have nurturing, the suffocating power

Your pets, your flings with men

Sun-baked folly would be aimed

What further proof do you need
