SFLoveStory Loves: Links of the Week

I recently discovered Kingdom of Style.

It’s tough to find a style/fashion blog that isn’t a total derivation from the current month’s W Magazine. This Kingdom is unique, and for that I heart Queen Marie and Queen Michelle.

Warning to those who leave San Francisco. It’s true what they say. Your heart will stay here.

My mom and dad had to move away from SF, and they framed a Semifreddi’s wrapper, and it now hangs on the wall in their house. I thought they seemed like happier people in California, but they say oh no a place is a place. But I think the framed Semifreddi’s is a more accurate sign of the truth.

What happens when you give a three-year old a camera? At Les Histoires de mes Enfants, Joy shows us a video of 80 photographs in less than 24 hours. It’s a beautiful way to see what her daughter sees.

Money. Cocaine. Heroin. Honey.

What do these four things have in common? A serious and inextricable connection to organized crime. Yes, the honey you put on your toast and in your tea may have gone through a very complicated and highly illegal laundering process. Tom Prete over at Prete Press tells us all about it. Fascinating article and links.

Oh dear. This is really both an announcement and a warning:

The 8th Annual No Pants! Subway Ride happens on January 10th. Find out the details over at SFist so you can either join in, or just avoid…I do believe that no pants does not mean no underpants, but you may not want to risk it.
