There’s an interesting little conversation going on at Intellectual Properties, which I commend to you.

Amy brings up Shepard Fairey (of “OBEY” and that one Obama poster fame) and the concept of him “selling out” with a clothing line, which is manufactured in China.

I weighed in, but would be quite interested to see what more artists have to say.

And I’ll ask a question right here that’s been buggering me for awhile: What is the real difference between an artist and a graphic designer? I think it’s commerce-related, but I’m trying to map this all out in my cabeza.
